Word out of Atlanta is Georgia Tech Quarterback Joshua Nesbitt has still not been cleared to play in the Independence Bowl because of his broken arm. He was hurt November 4th. Clearly they are a different team without him in the lineup. If the Falcons can take away Anthony Allen, their leading ground gainer Tech will have trouble. They do not throw the ball well at all. Tech lost 4 of their last 5 and have lost 5 straight bowl games.....For The Falcons, at their last Colorado Springs practice Kevin Fogler, Brian Lindsey and Jared Tew all practiced. Getting Lindsey back would be huge because the strong safeties for both defenses are the keys to the game. They are not accounted for in option blocking schemes...Back to the offense. when Tech does throw the ball its basic stuff and they do not tend to stretch a defense. Air Force has a more complicated passing scheme and will throw deep. That might be the difference in the game. I like Air Force 31-20.
Happy Holidays
