That was a heck of a football game Saturday against Utah. The Falcons, even giving up 5 turnovers, were still in the game. Utah had to make 2 huge 4th down stops and credit to them they did. That's what championship teams do. The Falcons found a way to climb back into it. That too, is what championship teams do. And as much as that loss to the Utes hurt, its time to get ready for Army. The last time the Commander In Chiefs trophy graced the halls of the Academy was 2002. This upcoming game has some fascinating story lines. The Black Knights are a much, much better football team, and are 1 win away from being bowl eligible. This could be the year Army beats both Air Force and Navy and wins the trophy themselves. An Air Force win gets the Falcons bowl eligible, brings the trophy back, and wipes away the longest losing streak in Troy Calhouns tenure in Colorado Springs. And it sets Air Force up for a potential 8 win regular season with struggling New Mexico and UNLV left in the season. But this game Saturday will be just as tough for the Falcons as Utah, Oklahoma and San Diego State were. It always has been. But this time, there is so much more riding on it.
